The Bangladesh Trade Portal (BTP) is an official source of all regulatory information relevant to traders who wish to import goods into Bangladesh or export to other countries. The Ministry of Commerce of the Bangladesh Government has established the Portal in order to improve the predictability and transparency of the country’s trading laws and processes.

This Nuclear Safety and Radiation Regulations 1997 are based on Nuclear Safety and Radiation Act 1993. The main content of this regulation is the mandatory radioactivity test for importing any products which contain harmful radiation for human. This regulation also provides details licensing process to import any medical or other machinery that contains radiations. The details level of radioactivity is presented in the regulations. This regulation shall be compatible with import policy order. This also presents nuclear safeguard, radioactive waste management, operator license for radioactive service etc. However, recently Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority has been established to regulate importing machinery (non-food items) which contains radiation.
