ANATEL published Acts No. 14430, of 7 October 2004, which updates  the  technical requirements  for assessing the conformity of Cellular Mobile Telephone and Access Terminal Station (ETA) to  restrict  the certification  and  approval of  new  equipment that  only  operates with  3G technology or lower, for use in Personal Mobile Service (SMP) networks.
