The Bangladesh Trade Portal (BTP) is an official source of all regulatory information relevant to traders who wish to import goods into Bangladesh or export to other countries. The Ministry of Commerce of the Bangladesh Government has established the Portal in order to improve the predictability and transparency of the country’s trading laws and processes.

1 Formation of Women Entrepreneur Development Unit (WEDU) in Bangladesh Bank Women entrepreneur Development Unit (WEDU) has been formed at SME and Special Programmes Department of Bangladesh Bank, Head office as well as at all branches of Bangladesh Bank vide Administrative Circular No.-21 of Human Resources Department-1 dated-30/11/2014. This Unit renders business friendly services to women entrepreneurs’, receives complaints and resolves those, carries out promotional activities for the development of women entrepreneurs’ and also monitors and evaluates the women entrepreneur’s development initiatives of Banks/Non-Bank Financial Institutions. To encourage small women entrepreneurs taking initiatives for their enterprise, WEDU operates Small Enterprises Refinance Scheme to provide low cost fund.
