The month-long Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) will begin from January 9 instead of January 1 due to upcoming parliamentary elections.
Talking to BSS, Director General of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Avijit Chowdhury said the trade fair will not start from January 1 as the national election will be held on December 30.
The trade fair will continue till February 8, he added.
He said EPB has already received a total of 43 applications from the interested foreign participants in the fair.
