USA: Extending the Reporting Deadline Under the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule for 2025

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is promulgating this final rule to extend the reporting deadline under the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule for reporting year 2025 from 31 March 2026 to 30 October 2026. This final rule changes only the reporting deadline for annual greenhouse gas (GHG) reports for reporting year 2025 in response to comments received on the proposed rescission of the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP). The EPA anticipates addressing the remainder of the proposed rule in one or more subsequent final actions.This rule is effective 27 February 2026.91 Federal Register (FR) 9712, 27 February 2026; Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 98
