USA: Extension of Postponement of Effectiveness for Certain Provisions of Trichloroethylene (TCE); Regulation Under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA or Agency) is extending the postponement of the effectiveness of certain regulatory provisions of the final rule entitled ''Trichloroethylene (TCE); Regulation Under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)'' (notified as G/TBT/N/USA/2062/Add.1) for an additional 90 days. Specifically, this postponement applies to the conditions imposed on the uses with TSCA section 6(g) exemptions.As of 17 February 2026, EPA further postpones until 18 May 2026, the conditions imposed on each of the TSCA section 6(g) exemptions, as described in this document, in the final rule published on 17 December 2024, at 89 FR 10256891 Federal Register (FR) 7401, 18 February 2026; Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 751
