Vietnam: Draft National technical regulation on electromagnetic compatibility for mobile terminals and ancillary equipment of digital cellular telecommunication systems

| This draft National technical regulation (NTR) will replace the current NTR namely “QCVN 86:2019/BTTTT: National technical regulation on electromagnetic compatibility for terminal and ancillary equipment of digital cellular telecommunication systems”This draft NTR stipulates the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements for mobile terminals and ancillary equipment of digital cellular telecommunication systems (GSM, UTRA, E-UTRA, LTE, 5G NR).This draft NTR shall apply only to public terrestrial mobile information terminals listed in the List of products and goods that are potentially unsafe and under the management responsibility of the Ministry of Science and Technology.It applies to organizations and individuals involved in the production, assembly, import, and trading of mobile terminals and ancillary equipment of digital cellular telecommunication systems in Vietnam.The HS code for mobile terminals and ancillary equipment of digital cellular telecommunication systems are 8517.13.00; 8517.14.00; 8517.62.59 (Annex C), as prescribed in Circular No. 31/2022/TT-BTC dated June 8, 2022 of the Minister of Finance promulgating the List of Vietnam's export and import goods.Other technical specifications related to antenna ports and emissions from the housing ports of radio equipment, which are not covered by this draft NTR, shall be specified in the relevant NTR and product standards for effective use of radio frequency spectrum. |
