Egypt: Draft of the Egyptian Standard ES 612 for Blended Tobacco for Cigarettes

This draft of the Egyptian Standard ES 612 for 'Blended Tobacco for Cigarettes' specifies the basic requirements and descriptive criteria for blended tobacco used in American-type cigarettes and Oriental-English-type cigarettes. It also covers aromatic cigarettes and blended shag tobacco, as well as the proportions of the blending components added thereto.It is worth mentioning that this draft standard has been formulated based on national studies.Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
