The Ministry of Commerce of the Bangladesh Government has established the Portal in order to improve the predictability and transparency of the country’s trading laws and processes.

Indonesia: Decree of Minister of Industry on Mandatory Implementation of Indonesia National Standard; SNI 4096:2007

Regulation of the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia Number 24 of 2025 amends the Regulation of the Minister of Industry Number 68 of 2024 on the Mandatory Implementation of the Indonesian National Standard for Color-Coated Aluminium-Zinc Alloy Coated Steel Sheets and Coils, and Color-Coated Aluminium-Magnesium Alloy Coated Steel. Several provisions in Minister of Industry Regulation No. 64 of 2024 have been amended.Article 2 is amended to stipulate the enforcement of:SNI 4096:2019 for Bj LAS, andSNI 8305:2019 for Bj LASW and Bj LAMWThe tariff post numbers (Harmonized System codes) are as follows:For Bj LASEx.7210.61.11Ex.7210.61.12Ex.7210.61.19Ex.7212.50.23Ex.7212.50.24Ex.7212.50.29For Bj LASW and Bj LAMWEx.7210.70.13Ex.7210.70.19Ex.7210.70.21Ex.7212.40.11Ex.7212.40.14Ex.7212.40.19Article 11 is amended to regulate the requirements for overseas producers and official representatives, including:Minimum production and testing facilities,Brand ownership (Class 6),ISO 9001:2015 implementation,Criteria for appointment of official representatives,Official representative may only represent one producer, except under group company conditions,Any change in the official representative before certificate expiry renders the certificate invalid.Article 57 paragraphs (2) and (3) are amended and paragraph (4) is added:Existing product certificates issued under Regulation No. 39/M-IND/PER/2/2012 remain valid as SNI and SPPT SNI certificates.These certificates must be aligned with this Regulation by 20 May 2026Certificates for Bj LASW and Bj LAMW must also be aligned by the same date.Updated certificates shall become effective on 20 May 2026Article 57A is inserted between Articles 57 and 58:If the validity period of certificates issued under the previous Regulation expires before 20 May 2026, businesses may apply for SNI and SPPT SNI certificates for Bj LAS.The new certificates shall be effective from their date of issuance.Article 59 paragraphs (2) and (3) are amended:Domestically produced Bj LAS, Bj LASW, and Bj LAMW manufactured by 20 May 2026 may continue to circulate until they reach the end user.Imported Bj LAS, Bj LASW, and Bj LAMW that have completed customs clearance by 20 May 2026 may also continue to circulate until reaching the end user.Article 60 is amended:Bj LAS not previously regulated under previous Regulation but conforming to SNI 4096:2019 must comply with the provisions of this Regulation.Bj LAS, Bj LASW, and Bj LAMW, whether domestically produced or imported by 20 May 2026, may still be circulated until they reach the end user.Article 60A is inserted between Articles 60 and 61:Overseas producers may apply for SNI certificates for Bj LAS, Bj LASW, and/or Bj LAMW via an official representative.Domestic manufacturers or official representatives may apply for SPPT SNI for Bj LAS, Bj LASW, and/or Bj LAMW.Product Certification Bodies may issue SNI certificates as requested.The Head of Agency may issue SPPT SNI certificates as requested.Applications can only be submitted once Product Certification Bodies and testing laboratories are designated by the Minister.Applications for SNI and SPPT SNI certificates can be submitted before 20 May 2026, however, certificates issued before that date will only become effective starting 20 May 2026.Article 62 is amended to read:This Ministerial Regulation shall enter into force on 20 May 2026
